Jay Sebring was known as the "hairstylist of the stars". He bought this home in the early 1960's. It was the former home of actress Jean Harlow and MGM producer Paul Bern. On Labor Day of 1932, after just 2 months of marriage to Harlow, Bern killed himself in the house. Three more people would die at 9860 Easton Drive; one man committed suicide, another drown in the pool, and years later a maid hung herself. Jay once dated actress Sharon Tate. While staying at the house alone in 1965, Sharon was awoken in the middle of the night to see a little man by the bed, terrified she ran out of the bedroom and down the stairs. Tied to the foot of the staircase she saw the body of a man with his throat slashed. In the blink of an eye the atrocious image was gone. She fixed herself a drink and went back to bed convinced that she had seen the ghost of Paul Bern. When she was engaged to Roman Polanski, Jay had to make sure he was right for Sharon. Jay approved. He and Roman also became good friends, and when Roman went away to London in the summer of '69, he made sure Jay stayed with Sharon up on Cielo Drive. Sadly, on August 8th, 1969, Jay was murdered along with Sharon, Abigail Folger (coffee heiress), and Voytek Frykowski. The home shown on all maps (except for one's I've posted), is the wrong one. The 9860 Easton house on Zillow was built in 1960, thus making it being Jean Harlow's house impossible. And in Bird's Eye view, I've been able to confirm the real house is up the street at 9810 Easton Drive, Beverly Hills, Ca. The REAL home has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and measures 1,725 sq. ft. and was built in 1930. It is currently valued at $1.25 million.
