The computer programmer and founder of "McAfee" lived here. He was one the first people to design anti-virus software and the first to develop a virus scanner. The estate was supposed to bring around $20M at an auction earlier this year, but was sold for a steal at a little less than $6M. It is now already up for sale again.
The 10,000-square-foot home sits on about 280 acres. The mansion has five bedroom suites, nine fireplaces, hand-carved doors, flagstone floors and unobstructed views of 14,110-foot Pikes Peak. The surrounding compound abuts the Pike National Forest and also has three guest homes, two guest apartments and nine guest cabins, for a total of 19 bedrooms on the estate.
