The story of Kansas and the West is told through displays that have won national and local awards for their attractive, innovative features. On display are a Full-sized Cheyenne tipi, a fully stocked covered wagon ready for a trip on the Oregon Trail, a 1950s diner, and a locomotive and two cars made in 1880 for the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad.
