Kim Mulkey's Former house

Kimberly Mulkey was the head women's basketball coach at Baylor University. She is the first person in NCAA history to win a basketball national championship as a player, assistant coach, and head coach. She is also only the third NCAA women's basketball coach ever to win three national championships. Mulkey was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000 for her accomplishments as a player. She won her third consecutive Big 12 Coach of the Year award in 2013.

Kim Mulkey was born in Santa Ana, California, USA on Thursday, May 17, 1962. She is 57 years old and is a Taurus. She played point guard at Louisiana Tech University from 1980 to 1984. Her time as a player informed her approach greatly and allowed her to formulate her signature coaching pattern.

Since the inception of the NCAA women's tournament in 1982, Mulkey has been involved in that tournament as a player or coach every year except 1985 and 2003. Mulkey in 2007 signed a 10-year extension to remain as Baylor's coach. In 2012, Mulkey made NCAA history by leading the Lady Bears to a perfect 40–0 season, the most wins in college basketball history, men or women. The season culminated at the NCAA Championship game in Denver, where the Lady Bears defeated Notre Dame.

Her autobiography is called Won't Back Down: Teams, Dreams and Family. The book has seen limited success.

Mulkey is well known for her "bold" sense of fashion. She once wore a snakeskin print to a game against Connecticut; her wardrobe choices have triggered pages of discussion on fan message boards. Mulkey is one of the most prominent women's basketball figures who is known for her solid coaching skills and level headed approach. She’s been one of the most influential women in women's basketball of all time.
