The one-mile Langhorne Speedway oval track was a premier racing venue for many years before it was bulldozed in 1971 in order to build a shopping center.

Originally a circular dirt track, it held its first event on June 12, 1926. It was paved and reshaped after the 1964 season. The final checkered flag fell on October 17, 1971.

Champ Cars, NASCAR stock cars, sprint cars, midgets, modifieds, and AMA motorcycles raced here. Among the many legendary drivers who won events here include A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti, Al Unser, Bobby Unser, Lee Petty, Curtis Turner, and Fireball Roberts.
