| Description: | Lee R. Anderson Sr. is owner and chairman of API GROUP INC., the holding corporation for more than 32 separate construction, manufacturing and fire protection companies headquartered in St. Paul, Minn., and operating from national and international office locations. The fire protection and alarm division is the largest such company in Canada and the second largest such company in the U.S.
Lee purchased and owns both of these very large mansions on Lake Superior in Duluth, MN.
The large Tudor mansion was built between 1928 and 1930 for mining executive Harry C. Dudley and his wife, Marjorie Congdon Dudley, daughter of Duluth lumber baron Chester Congdon. The construction is of steel and concrete, with an exterior of stone and leaded windows. It's a very inviting combination of grandeur and comfort.
The French Chateau is also owned by Lee, Former home of Louis Kemp owner of the Louie Kemp Seafood Co.—Bob Dylan visited and stayed there many times over the years that his old friend owned the house. |
