Lee R. Raymond is the former Chairman, CEO and president of ExxonMobil, which is often the largest corporation in the world. He joined the company in 1963, became a director in 1984, president in 1987, CEO in 1993, and Chairman in 1999. He has held these positions simultaneously, and chaired the National Petroleum Council. On April 14, 2006, it was reported that Raymond's retirement package was worth about $400 million, the largest in history for a U.S. public company.
