Lily Pollard is a great-great-great niece of Henry Flagler, who founded Standard Oil corporation with John D. Rockefeller and was one of the richest men in the world when he died in 1913. Her late grandmother Molly Wiley was one of Richmond's biggest philanthropists.
Pollard bought the house in 2013 from Nick Jones, the founder of Soho House. In the 1960s, this house was owned by Patty Duke, who leased it for a time to Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate.
