The Army doesn't have floating drydocks, that I know of anyway. At any rate, it is way too small to be an FD. Since this is in Boston, this is the LSV-8 MG Robert Smalls operated by the 203rd Transportation Detachment of the US Army Reserves.

It actually the largest watercraft the US Army has. The Reserves and Acctive Component were both going to get the new Logistic Support Vessels. The AC decided to nix that plan and go with a joint service vessel that is twice as fast and moves half the cargo of the LSV. Just another way our government waste money, I would utilize the LSV 8 more due to fuel prices.
