Reportedly purchased as a vacation home for U.S. President Barack Obama & family. The entity that purchased the property is linked to Chicago-based venture capital and private equity firm The Vistria Group, run by Marty Nesbitt, a frequent Obama golf and travel partner in Hawaii. Some Hawaiian media are reporting the sale price was $8.7M. Sotheby's, the listing agency, did not disclose the sale price, but their listing price was $7.8M.
