At about 2 a.m. on March 21, 2018, authorities surrounded the Austin serial bomber, Mark Conditt's car at this location. Conditt detonated his last bomb, killing himself and injuring one of the SWAT officers. The exact location is in the grass to the right of the maroon car shown (not Conditt's car). You can see it in the video at the top of the statesman.com link below.
