Mark S. Newman is the retired Chairman and CEO of DRS Technologies. Before retiring in 2012, he turned the New Jersey-based defense contractor into a major player with more than $1 billion in sales. His father, Leonard, fonded the company, which was acquired by the Italian conglomerate Finmeccanica S.p.A. in 2008.
