Matthew Stafford, the NFL quarterback purchased this 10,000 sqft lake front home in 2013 for $3.5 million in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Stafford is currently an American football quarterback for the Detroit Lions of NFL. Stafford also played for the University of Georgia, where he played football for the Bulldogs, and was drafted by the Lions first overall in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Stafford is the fourth quarterback in NFL history to throw for over 5,000 yards in a single season, being one of three players to do it in 2011, and is the fastest player in NFL history to reach 40,000 yards in (147 games). Stafford also holds the NFL record for the most comeback wins in a season, recording eight in the 2016 NFL season. In 2017, he signed a $135-million contract extension with the Lions, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history at the time.

Stafford is one of the greatest quarterbacks in Lions franchise history, holding several titles, including, most passing yards in a single season – 5,038 (2011), Most passing yards in a game – 520 (January 1, 2012 vs. Green Bay Packers), and Most career 4,000 passing yard seasons – 7.

At Georgia, Stafford met cheerleader Kelly Hall, the sister of former NFL player and current Buffalo Bills wide receivers coach Chad Hall and after falling in love were married on April 4, 2015. The couple announced they had identical twin girls, named Sawyer and Chandler, who were born in 2017. Their third daughter, named Hunter, was born in 2018.

Matthew Stafford has a net worth of $60 million. On September 11, 2011, Stafford led the Lions to their first season opener win since 2007. His current average yearly salary is around $17 million after bonuses and other pay increases, given his six year $70 million contract with the Detroit Lions.
