McDonald Hall and Arena

McDonald Hall & Arena, named in honor of Coach Andrew J. McDonald, longtime head basketball coach and chairman of the Physical Education Department, was built with WPA labor in 1940 and served as the university's central indoor arena until John Q. Hammons Student Center opened in 1976. Currently, McDonald Hall & Arena serves as a classroom, office, and fitness facility.
