Michael Rothbard's House

Michael is one of the founders of Zentro Media and currently serves as its President and CEO. Zentro is the latest of Michael’s entrepreneurial ventures. In 1994, Michael joined two of the Zentro principals, Rob Kirk and Rob Lihani, in the founding of Digital Ranch. This successful partnership led to the creation of Zentro Media.

Digital Ranch was created by Michael and his two partners to take advantage of the evolution from analog to digital entertainment content. Since its founding, Digital Ranch has produced hundreds of hours of programming for cable networks such as The History Channel, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and Tru TV. Most recently Digital Ranch has taken advantage of the dramatic decline in the cost of computing power to create animated shows in CGI.

Michael’s first start-up right out of college was called Comfort Sleeper and it became the largest specialty sleep products supplier in the country. The company’s excellence in service and innovation was recognized by Walmart, with the award of “Vendor/Partner of the Year”. In 1992, Comfort Sleeper was acquired by Sunrise Medical, an NYSE listed holding company. Michael considers this start-up experience his MBA and the award his certificate.

In addition to Zentro Media, Digital Ranch and Comfort Sleeper, Michael has participated in the founding of several other successful companies including Alloy/ Delia’s and Sleep Studio. Michael, along with his wife and son, live in New York City. Michael graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He speaks French and is an experienced polo player.
