Mike Ditka's House

The ex-NFL football coach, currently a broadcaster, lives here. Once a huge force on the football field, he began working as an analyst for NBC and ESPN following his retirement. Ditka is a world class American former football player, coach, and television commentator. A member of both the College Football and Pro Football Hall of Fame, he was the 1961 UPI NFL Rookie of the Year, a five-time Pro Bowl selection and five-time All-Pro tight end with the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, and Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League

He finished his playing career with 427 receptions for 5,812 yards and 43 touchdowns, playing for the Bears, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys until his retirement in 1972. Ditka went on to coach for nine years with the Cowboys with eight playoff appearances. He led the Bears as head coach, winning Super Bowl XX against the New England Patriots. Ditka won Coach of the Year twice. He later returned to coaching in the late 1990s with the New Orleans Saints, producing a 121-95 record. His number was retired by the Bears in 2013. Ditka was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1986 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame two years later, becoming the first tight end ever chosen for Canton.

Ditka made headlines for several off-the-field incidents during his career, including breaking his hand while punching a locker room at halftime and throwing gum at an opposing fan during a Monday Night Football game. Ditka is still a fan favorite, loved by millions.
