Alexander Litvinenko, former KGB agent was poisoned at this location. Whilst enjoying tea with two other former secret service colleagues.
Little did he know that his green tea had been spiked with deadly radionuclide polonium-210. Litvinenko passed 26 days later. The alleged killers were identified but fled to Russia where they remain.
Litvinenko's body rests in Highgate Cemetery, North London.
