The Ministry of Justice and Equal Opportunitiesof of the State of Saxony-Anhalt is responsible for all five branches of the judiciary:

Ordinary jurisdiction
Administrative jurisdiction
Employment jurisdiction
Social jurisdiction
Financial jurisdiction

Departments of Public Prosecution, penal institutions and community service in the state all fall under the remit of the Ministry.
