Mississippi River bluff house

Mississippi River bluff house

Jamestown, Wisconsin (WI), US
When crossing the Mississippi River on US highway 20 at Dubuque, Iowa, you will notice a large house on a bluff high above the east bank of the river. The owners of this house live in Wisconsin with an Illinois street address and enjoy a picturesque view of Iowa and the Mississippi River.

It is located on the southwesternmost parcel of land in Wisconsin. However, the only roadway access to the house comes through Illinois. Because of that, the house has an Illinois postal address.

When the house was built in the late 1990's, a court case was brought to the state court of appeals, in which the homeowners won the right to receive services from the township, despite the extra travel across the state line to access the property.

The home belongs to Clark and Linda Wolff.
