The odds of a jetliner crashing are so small. The odds of a satellite catching imagery of it happening?

If this plane is upside down and about to plunge into the ocean or into nearby land, everyone will die. I can't find a story of such a crash, not in Angola.

if it didn't, it sure is banking steeply, and close to the water!

Looks like a Boeing 727 from here.

You can't tell how close it is to the water from a satellite photo. What appears to be it's shadow is actually an image artifact.

This is satellite imagery. A lot of the imagery is taken at fairly oblique angles and then stretched to create an artificial sense of overhead imagery. In the early days of VGT there were lots of submissions from Alaska that had this same type of distortion. There was also an aircraft in flight over the San Francisco Bay with this same distortion.

The link provided above talks about a Christmas Day 2003 crash of a jetliner shortly after takeoff from the main airport in Benin . . . which is about 1,000 miles away from the location in this map.

This plane is not that plane. This flight did not end with a crash.
