jbottero's picture Pools and tennis courts? What kind of prison is this...
AlejoHausner @ 2007-06-20 23:03:03
AlejoHausner's picture Well, it's a Canadian prison. Canada is a socialist country. 'nuff said.

Anonymous's picture Correction: it's a prison in the Province of Quebec... where inmates have more rights than the guards...

Anonymous's picture There's no pool there, just a pathetic photoshop attempt, even the yard looks 19th century.

BTW this was the site where the last woman executed in Canada was hung. Marguerite Pitre in 1953.

milwhcky's picture Live Local has this in greater detail. It sures looks like there is an empty pool on their view.

TexasAndroid's picture Looks like there has been an image update since the original post and, in the latest imagry, the pool appears to be gone. The spot where it was is darker than the surrounding yard, so you can still see that *something* was there, but it's gone now.

No reason to think that there was a any sort of phtoshop job here, especially with the pool still fairly obvious in the LL scene. But things do change, and that's one of the interesting things about these maps, watching places change.

Anonymous's picture Bordeaux is a local byword for prison its pretty spooky, and unlike alcatraz or rikers they built it on the same island as the city itself which is weird. We have tons of islands here, why ruin a whole city neighbourhood ?

Anonymous's picture trust me i did over two years in there and ya its a pool dirty as hell and not a holiday in the least very voilent trust me
Anonymous @ 2009-11-23 10:16:27
Anonymous's picture There used to be a pool but it has been filled in.

They don't have a tennis court...

And the reason it looks 19th century is because it was built in the early 1900's
