Monuriki is an uninhabited island apart a group of islands known as the Mamanuca Islands which are apart of the Fiji Islands. The island measures at 1 kilometers (0.62 miles) long and 600 meters (660 yards) wide.

The island was used during filming of the 2000 movie Castaway, staring Tom Hanks. During filming, more than 100 crew members lived on the island.
