Most-filmed residential street in the world

Van Nuys, California (CA), US
Orion Avenue in Van Nuys is the most-filmed residential street in Los Angeles (therefore possibly the world), according to the Entertainment Industry Development Corporation, the entity responsible for issuing film permits in the city. For one block, the ranch-style homes have uniform lawns, and a middle-class, middle-American look, complete with white picket fences. The homeowners have banded together to create this film friendly area, and to reap the financial rewards for the frequent inconveniences that film productions can bring.

None of the things that makes L.A. distinct is allowed here. Not a palm tree or any other California symbol to be found. Even the wildfires and drive by shooters have failed to find this place.

I grew up on the 6300 block of Orion (between Victory and Orion (my parents still live there). And absolutely true. Sometimes multiple projects in one week. The film industry calls it the Leave it to Beaver look that could be anywhere in America. Aside from film and TV in tons of national ads for that reason
