Mount Etna (Etna/Mongibello/Muncibbeḍḍu/a Muntagna/Aetna/Αἴτνα & Αἴτνη), is an active stratovolcano on the east coast of Sicily between Messina and Catania. It lies above the convergent plate margin between the African & Eurasian Plates. It's 1 of the tallest active volcanoes in Europe, and the tallest peak in Italy south of the Alps with a current height of 3,357 m, though this varies with summit eruptions.

Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.
