Nørre-Hvalsø Jættestue (Passage Grave)

Located in the small town of Nørre-Hvalsø on the Danish island of Denmark are the remains of a Neolithic passage grave. The grave is located on a small open area of land between some modern houses.

Originally the site was a passage grave with two burial chambers and entrances. However, the majority of burial site has been destroyed. One huge capstone remains at the site covering on burial chamber and stones that once formed the corridor leading up to the chamber can also be traced.

The other burial chamber has been completely demolished somethime in the late 1800s and used for building materials.
