What is now the Natl. Bank of Liberia used to be the headquarters of a Swiss company (UTC Basel) called LTC (Liberia Trading Co.) in the 1960-70's. The main building then housed the corporate offices, a small dept. store, a auto parts dept. and later a optical store. LTC used to be the distributor for GM cars (Chev, Olds, Cadillac, Buick, Opel) GMC trucks and Daihatsu cars from Japan as well as Frigidaire appliances and air conditioners. I used to work there during 1968-69. Have no idea when the LTC closed and moved out of Liberia.
