The dolmen lies on a small raised patch of land in a field. The dolmen is thought to have been constructed between 3950 BC - 2801 BC. The dolmen remains in good condition although one of the stones supporting the cover stone has collapsed causing the cover stone to fall down on one side. The stones surrounding the dolmen also remain today.

The dolmen is one of several within the area. All dolmens and barrows are protected.
