Newark Archbishop John J. Myers lives in this 4,500 sqft home as a weekend retreat. A 3,000 sqft addition is currently being built onto the home in preparation for his retirement in 2 years. The addition, costing an estimated $500,000 is being paid for by the Newark Archdiocese. The Mater Dei Academy, however, closed 2 years ago due to lack of funding. The home is owned by the Newark Archdiocese for the Archbishops own personal use.
