Ninigret Park

Ninigret Park

Charlestown, Rhode Island (RI), US
Ninigret Park used to be a huge naval landing field in World War II but now serves as a great park and wildlife refuge. Large sections of the old runways are still visible but they are slowly being ripped up. The park was named after a great chief of the Narragansett and contains over 400 acres of land that sits on the edge of the largest salt pond in the state.
