Norway

Bremerhaven, Germany (DE)
Cruise ship Norway laid up at Bremerhaven, Germany, where she stayed from July 2003 until May 2005 when she left under tow to be scrapped at Malaysia. This caused much controversy as there was asbestos used in the ship and as of this writing she is still waiting for the work to start at Alang, India.

Norway was originally the French atlantic liner France and started service in 1961. In 1979 she was sold to Norwegian Cruise Line and served as cruise ship until May 25, 2003 when she was damaged by boiler explosion and towed to Bremerhaven.
