Operation Red Flag at Nellis AFB

Operation Red Flag at Nellis AFB

Las Vegas, Nevada (NV), US
Red Flag was established in 1975 to train US pilots of all services against the tactics the enemy commonly uses, and against the Actual thing. No body actually gets shot down, because it is a training mission. however, you can get shot down electroniclly, either from the air or from the ground. This would give pilots a baptism by fire if you will, with out putting him/her in harms way. Some aircraft act as the "aggressors" which are flown in a style similar to opfor aircraft, and have the same abilities as opfor aircraft. The Aggressors are easily visible as the multicolored camoflauge aircraft. Sometimes, the aggressors are actually purchased Russian aircraft, like Mi-24 Hinds, and when Germany comes, they bring along a squadron of MIG-29 Fulcrums.
Here is a total list of aircraft at nellis. if you look around and in the nearby nellis bombing range, you may find aircraft on bombing runs, or on patrol. its obvious that a lot of aircraft are missing from the flightline, so keep your eyes open!
