A plaque marks the original site of Shakespeare's Globe Theater on Maiden Lane (now Park Street). A small section of the theater's circular outline can be seen in the paving stones in front of the Anchor Terrace apartment building which occupies most of the theater's original location.
The rebuilt Globe stands about 750 yards away.
