Known also as the "House of the Veletas", it is situated at the highest part of the city of Cáceres. It is situated in the Plaza beraing the same name and where the ancient Arab Algibe. It was built in the XVI century over the ruins of the old Arab alcázar (palace). Today it houses the provincial museum which displays important findings dating as far back as the preromanic period and thereafter.
