Patriotic mailbox flag drop

Do you know the proper way to dispose of a used, worn or unrepairable American flag? The most preferred method is by giving the flag to an American Legion Post or local government for proper disposal. This box is an approved disposal site. If no drop off site is available, burning is the preferred method.
