Description: Placa de Catalunya in Barcelona is a major square in the heart of the Bari Gotic area of the city. It is here that most of the buses, including the open-top tourist bus meet. The large, open square is lined with seating and the ornamental gardens contain statues. At one end are wonderful water features.

The square is a popular meeting place, especially at the weekend.

The square is surrounded by some of the large department stores including Corte Ingles and Marks and Spencers, some of which occupy some splendid buildings.
