The Plaza Independencia is an important square in the capital city. The plaza separates the old city from the downtown. The square contains important buildings like the Solis Theatre, the Executive Tower (work place for the President), the Artigas Mausoleum (Uruguayan hero) and the beautiful Palacio Salvo.
