Prescott Sheldon Bush was an American banker and politician. He was a Wall Street executive banker (partner of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.) and a US Senator, representing Connecticut from 1952 until January 1963. He was the father of President George H. W. Bush and the grandfather of President George W. Bush and Florida Governor Jeb Bush. He attended Yale University and was a member of Skull and Bones. He was an avid golfer, and in 1935 named head of the USGA. Bush passed away in 1972.

Today, the home is owned by John A. McKenna Jr., the Chairman and CEO of CoverageOne, a leading national provider in the design, implementation and management of state-of-the-art data and communications systems. He served for more than eight years as CEO of Siemens IT Solutions and Services.
