It is a strike that ran from April 15 to August 1, 2008.
On a construction site, undocumented workers have stopped work to protest the unscrupulous employer who exploited them. Underpaid, forced laborers, without security, these illegal workers demanding their regularization and equivalent rights that French workers.

After 109 days of strike, these undocumented workers have obtained satisfaction. About 29 people, 21 have received permission to stay three months and two other cards stay of one year. After that, they have acceptable working conditions and decent wages.
Unions and local residents have supported and assisted them in their fight.

On the banners, you can read:
"Employees without papers, strike and occupation, regularization."
"Neither racism nor exploitation, but regularization."
"Men are born and equal in rights."
"Angry undocumented workers, we don't want this racist law."
"The undocumented workers are being exploited. No to new slavery!"
