Queensbridge Projects

Queensbridge Houses is the largest public housing development in North America. The 3,142-unit complex opened in 1939 and accommodates about 7,000 people.

Queensbridge has historically proven to be a hotbed of hip hop & rap. Noted artists associated with Queensbridge include Nas, Marley Marl, Kool G Rap, Mobb Deep, Capone, Cormega, MC Shan and many more. Basketball players Lamar Odom and Metta World Peace also grew up in Queensbridge.
