In 1987, the Crown Commissioners tendered for new villas to be built to enhance Regent's Park's setting.

English architect Quinlan Terry designed this villa, one of eight, with the themes for their design being taken from John Nash, as well as Sir John Soane, and Strawberry Hill House.
