A mini-sprint car is on display on a sign for I-44 Riverside Speedway.

Mini-sprints are a smaller version of a normal dirt track sprint car. They are powered by a motorcycle engine and are a great low budget entry level class for aspiring racers. This speedway has hosted an annual national championship mini-sprint event since 2000.

The nearby speedway was directly hit by a tornado in May 2013. No idea if this sign survived the storm. The track reopened in August 2013 after an extensive rebuilding process.
