Description: Just below Interstate 80, about a mile northeast of Van Meter, Iowa (pop. 866) -- the South Racoon River flows from the west and joins the North Racoon River flowing from the north, together they form the Racoon River... which flows into the Des Moines River which flows into the Mississippi River which goes, well... a long way all the way down to The Big Easy and beyond.
