Radomes and antennas at RAF Defford

Until 2005, another satellite ground terminal could be found at the highly sensitive military communications base at Defford in Worcestershire, alongside the M5 motorway. This site once provided a home to the RAF's 1001 Signals Unit, but more recently QinetiQ (pronounced "kinetic"). [www.secret-bases.co.uk]
