Description:

506th Parachute Infantry Regiment and 101st Airborne Division 'Screaming Eagles' flew to Normandy on D-Day from this airfield.

The Airfield was featured in the first few episodes of the television mini-series Band of Brothers. (Actual filming location was Hatfield Airfield UK)
