300 operations were flown with 6 Wellingtons and 160 Lancasters lost. The memorial commemorates 1,080 aircrew who lost their lives flying from here.

10/45 to 11/45, 109 Sqn here with Mosquitos, then Station closed to flying.

Airfield used for bomb storage until 1956 then sold off.
