Rakesh Jyoti Sara pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud, two counts of mail fraud, one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and other federal offenses in the DEA's Operation CYBERx, which targeted more than 22 illegal Internet pharmacies. In December 2009, Saran was sentenced to serve 12 years in federal prison and ordered to pay $68 million in restitution for his involvement in the scheme.
As part of his plea agreement, Saran forfeited the 23,000 sq ft, four-story, custom home, which was under construction in Arlington.
