Rice paddy art

Inakadate, Japan (JP)
Since 1993, farmers in Inakadate, Aomori, Japan, have used four different types of rice to create a giant design in this field.

In the beginning, the designs were simple, but they grew more complex over the years. The designs are best viewed from a 22 meter tall tower next to the field. In recent years, they have attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors to the village each year.
