Romanian Soldier Monument was built at the initiative of the Committee of culture and art in the region of Maramures and was unveiled around of 23 August 1959 and the following year received its current form. It is executed by sculptor Andrei Ostap.

In honor of their fallen heroes in the fierce battles of World War II, around this objective were arranged commemorative crosses with the names of those who gave their lives for the integrity and freedom of the Romanian State.
