Sally Yates is the former acting U.S. Attorney General in the Trump Administration until being dismissed by the President on January 30, 2017. She has a long record of public service starting in 1989, when she was hired as Assistant U.S. Attorney by Bob Barr for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia.
