Samuel Lehrman is president and founder of Lehrco Corporation, a retail development and management company established in 1985. Lehrco Corporation owns and has partnership interests in six neighborhood shopping centers in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area.

Mr. Lehrman is a vice president and co-founder of Vista Management Company, Inc., a residential management company located in Silver Spring, Maryland. From 1985-1994, Mr. Lehrman served on the Board of Directors and was the chairman of the Audit Committee of Giant Food, Inc., a subsidiary of Ahold, USA, Inc. Giant Food owns and operates more than 170 stores throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The Lehrman Family was co-founder and the largest shareholder of Giant through the fourth quarter of 1994, when they sold their interest in the chain to the UK-based food conglomerate, J. Sainsbury, PLC.

Mr. Lehrman attended American University in Washington, DC and New York University where he studied real estate investment, development and finance. In 1977, he began his real estate career as a retail and residential property manager with Charles E. Smith Company (now a division of Vornado Realty Trust), a full-service development and management company headquartered in Arlington, Virginia.

Lehrman sold this home to the State of Kuwait on December 30, 2015 for $18,000,000. The State of Kuwait will use the property as their official embassy in Washington, DC.
